  * [[Hopeful Lutheran Church]] is organized.
  * Aaron Burr passes through [[Florence]] on his way west to escape imprisonment for killing Alexander Hamilton in a dual.  Many in Kentucky disliked Hamilton, and regard Burr as a hero. 

==== Kentucky ====
  * Joseph Hamilton Daviess, the federal District Attorney for Kentucky, charged Aaron Burr, claiming that he intended a war with Mexico. Burr and his young attorney, Henry Clay, had the case dismissed.
