Buford Bohannon was an [[african-americans|African American]] soldier during the Civil War.  In 1864, he enlistment in the 12th United States Colored Heavy Artillery Unit at Kentucky’s Camp Nelson.  Bohannon is buried in the [[florence_cemetery|Florence Cemetery]].
