====== Burlington Presbyterian Church (BE 137) ====== //Excerpt from the Burlington Historic District National Register Nomination// Now defunct, the church's original building still stands on Jefferson Street in Burlington. Built in the 1830s, the building is a Greek Revival temple-front edifice. As built, the three-bay facade was articulated with brick pilasters. One of the two original doors, with elliptical fanlight, survives in an outer bay. The other two were destroyed when it was later converted to a fire station. The building was sensitively restored by the Boone County Fiscal Court, and now houses the Boone County Maintenance Department. It was included in the Burlington Historic Distric that was added to the National Register in 1979. ===== More Information ===== * Browse photographs of Burlington Presbyterian Church ==== Related websites ==== * National Register Information (PDFs), inventory form and photos ===== Related Topics ===== * Churches of Boone County * Presbyterian churches * Historic buildings * "Burlington Presbyterian Church" By Matthew E.
