======Charles Thompson House, BE-943====== Excerpt from the 2005 National Register Nomination for the [[national_register#s_main_street_historic_district|South Main Street Historic District]]. Built in the late 1920s or 1930s for Charles Thompson, a banker, this is one-and-a-half story brick dwelling with side-gabled roof and one-story rear lean-to. The influence of the Tudor Revival style can be seen in the tall, off-center facade gable, and steeply gabled vestibule with arched portal.
