====== Captain Marcus Collins ======
According to the //History of Kentucky// (Perrin et al. 1887) Marcus Collins was born in Cincinnati to Marcus Stephen Collins (1793-[[1814]]) and Elizabeth (Betsy) Swing (1792-1879) in [[1813]]. Marcus was the only child born to the young [[Boone County]] couple, as Marcus sr. died the year following his birth.
