======Eliza Hawkins/Simpson, c. 1855-1870======

Born in either Louisiana or Missouri, Eliza was either the daughter or granddaughter of [[jilson_hawkins|Jilson]] and [[eliza_hawkins_simpson|Eliza Hawkins]].  She was born enslaved and came to the [[dinsmore_homestead|Dinsmore farm]] during the [[civil_war|Civil War]].  The cause of her young death was not explained, but [[james_dinsmore|James Dinsmore]] noted the death and purchased a coffin for the young girl and she was buried in the family graveyard, but only fieldstones mark her grave.
