====== Garrison Family ====== General Wallace Garrison ([[1840]]-1920) was named after either his grandfather or uncle, who was referred to as "General Wallace". Wallace Garrison was born to Elzie/Elzy Garrison ([[1806]]-1894)and Mary/Polly [[wallace_family|Wallace]] ([[1802]]-1876) and married Sarah L. Violett from Gallatin County in 1878. Wallace Garrison inherited the family homestead near [[big_bone_baptist_church|Big Bone Baptist Church]] after his father's death in 1894. The Garrison Creek is located in northern [[Boone County]], near [[bullittsburg_baptist_church|Bullittsburg Baptist Church]] and is presumably named after some portion of the family. The area around the creek boasted a little [[garrison_creek_town|town]] and a [[garrison_creek_school|school]] at one time. ===== More Information ===== * //[[https://bcp.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/search/asset/25371/0|Big Bone Baptist Cemetery Register]]// ===== Related Topics ===== * [[families|Boone County Families]] * [[big_bone_baptist_church|Big Bone Baptist Church]] * [[garrison_creek_town|Garrison Creek]] * [[garrison_creek_school|Garrison Creek School]]
