====== George W. Terrill House (BE 59) ====== The George W. Terrill House near [[Petersburg]] is an exceptional Italianate residence whose form is unique in the county. Constructed around [[1865]], it is a massive brick dwelling of cubical form featuring twin forward-facing gables with paired brackets and corner returns, and a narrow, recessed, double gallery. The house reflects Terrill’s achievements and his status as one of the county’s largest landowners. Terrill served in the Kentucky Legislature in [[1869]]-[[1870]] and was a captain in the [[Civil War|Confederate Army]]. The House was added to the [[National Register]] in 1989. The George W.
