====== Joseph H. Hughes House (BE 208) ====== The Hughes House, owned in 1883 by J.H. Hughes, is perhaps the oldest surviving house in the vicinity of [[richwood_presbyterian_church|Richwood Church]]. Built in [[1836]], the house is one of the two-story, four-bay hall-parlor houses especially popular in the early nineteenth century [[Boone County]]. Unlike most of the other examples, it has one instead of two doors in the facade. ===== More Information ===== * [[https://bcp.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/history/search/results?qf=BCPL_COLL%09BCPL_COLL%09Hughes+Family%09Hughes+Family&te=ASSET|Hughes Family File 1]] * [[https://bcp.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/history/search/results?qf=BCPL_COLL%09BCPL_COLL%09Hughes+Family%09Hughes+Family&rw=12&te=ASSET&isd=true|Hughes Family File 2]] ===== Related Topics ===== * [[joseph_c._hughes_house|Joseph C.
