====== L.C. Norman House (BE 281) ====== L.C. Norman House This [[historic homes|historic home]] represents a stylish, well-proportioned and finely detailed small house of the mid-19th century, built on the center-hall plan. The focal point of the facade is the entry frontispiece in the Greek Revival style, with engaged fluted colonnettes and heavy architrave. The cornice has Italianate modillions and returns. A Folk Victorian porch was added in the late 19th century. A frame smokehouse stands near the house. L.C. Norman was a prosperous merchant and farmer in the [[Union]]-[[Walton]] area, as well as a [[Civil War|Confederate]] Lieutenant.
