====== Pitman Cloudas ======
Pitman Cloudas was born in Virginia around 1789 or 1790.  He moved to Kentucky around [[1810]] or [[1811]].  On 11 July [[1816]] he married Eleanor Rayburn in Franklin County. After Eleanor's death, he married Joice Faulconer on 18 May [[1826]].

Sometime after [[1820]], Pitman Cloudas moved from Mercer Co. to [[Boone County|Boone Co.]]  He served as the first [[postmaster]] of [[Florence]], and was the first chairman of the town council.

Cloudas died in neighboring Grant County in [[1832]].

The name is often incorrectly spelled as 'Clondas.'
