====== Roads ====== Early roads were established through orders of the [[County Court]]. They were usually maintained by the people who lived along the roads. Eventually a series of turnpikes grew up to allow quicker travel through the [[boone county|county]]. Many of these were later replaced by state and interstate highways. ==== Highways ==== Burlington Pike and Tanner's Lane, June 1869 * I-75 * I-275 * U.S. 25 (Dixie Highway) * U.S. 42 * Ky 18 * Ky 20 * Ky 338 (Idlewild Road) ==== Turnpikes ==== * Beaver Lick-Richwood Turnpike * Belleview-Petersburg Turnpike * Burlington Turnpike * Burlington-Florence Turnpike * Burlington-Petersburg Turnpike * Covington-Lexington Turnpike * Georgetown-Cincinnati Turnpike * Louisville Turnpike ==== County Roads ==== * Conner Road * Ryle Road * [[Stevenson Lane]] ===== More Information ===== * //[[https://bcp.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/search/asset/25689/0|Early Road Laws in Kentucky]]// * Boone County Court Orders : [[https://bcp.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/search/asset/25203/0|Road Precincts and Surveyors]], 1829. * Boone County Court Orders : [[https://bcp.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/search/asset/24897/0|Road Precincts and Surveyors]], 1829-1830. * Tanner, Paul. //[[https://bcp.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/search/asset/31209/0|Toll Roads in Kentucky 1817 to 1917 and Boone County]]// ===== Related Topics ===== * [[Transportation in Boone County]]
