======Vernon James House======

Excerpt from the 2005 National Register Nomination for the [[national_register#s_main_street_historic_district|South Main Street Historic District]].

Built in 1910, and well sited on the brow of a hill, the Vernon James House is a frame American Foursquare residence with hipped roof, hipped dormers and two-bay facade. Aluminum siding covers the walls. Vernon James was a dealer in wholesale notions including fans, calendars and pan sets.
