====== Verona Deposit Bank (BE 834) ====== The building for the Verona Deposit Bank was built in 1903. The [[banks|bank]] was one of several small, local financial institutions founded in the [[Boone County|county]] during the first decade of the 20th century.

The [[Verona]] bank, like its compatriots in the county, is a small but well-designed brick structure whose careful proportions and classical detailing convey solidity and permanence and inspire trust. The building still stands on Verona-Mud Lick Road.
