====== Walton Cemetery ======
According to local legend, the [[Walton]] Cemetery was created when old Mrs. Snow of the [[First Baptist Church of Walton]] (originally located at the far southwestern edge of the current cemetery entrance) decided she wanted to be buried next to the church. The church then obtained the land to create a "[[cemeteries|burying ground]]" for the town residents.  No headstone exists for Mrs. Snow.

The cemetery is still "active," with burials continuing.
