Located on McVille Road in Belleview, the Citizens Deposit Bank was the second financial institution established in western Boone County. Built in 1926, it is typical of small banks and commercial buildings of the 1920s.

The building is a tapestry brick edifice with broken pediment and stepped parapet. The roof was raised to a gable at an unknown date. At the time it was built, the bank building was described by the Boone County Recorder as a “brick structure, with ample size windows making the interior as light as out of doors. The fixtures are of quartered oak and most substantial looking.”
