Located on Burlington Pike in Belleview, the Clore House was constructed in the 1890s. It is compact in form, with a tall, narrow facade dominated by a two-story semi-octagonal bay. The front gable is faced with tongue-and-groove siding, and a small, hipped-roof porch shelters the entrance. Even the foundation is treated as a decorative element: the stones of the front elevation are smooth-cut around the edges and rock-cut in the centers. The survival of the house is remarkable considering its proximity to a gravel pit at the rear.
