Dr. Myrax J. Crouch

Myrax Josiah Crouch was born in 1865. He first married Elizabeth G. (“Betty”) Huey. After her death in 1923, he married Ray Cross with whom he had a son, Myrix T. Crouch.

In addition to his work as a physician, Dr. Couch owned a drug store and a farm. He was a member of the state legislature, and, in 1903, he was one of the founders as well as the President of the Union Deposit Bank.

Dr. Crouch was active in county affairs. He was a promoter of building roads, and of the telephone exchange.
