<html><img alt=“Verona Garage” src=“https://bcp.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/search/asset/30027/0” width=“250” align=“right” title=“Verona Garage”></html> Service stations and garages were built throughout the county in the early 20th century, as residents traded their horses and buggies for automobiles. Located in Verona on Verona-Mud Lick Road, the garage was a popular attraction for local children, who liked to watch the work taking place.

The Verona Garage is a one-story frame structure with low, rectangular parapet. A wooden awning with sawtooth edge extends over the service bays. The walls are covered with board and batten siding.
