Located on East Bend Road, an unpretentious frame structure built close to the road, the Kite Grocery Store is a classic small-town general store.
Built in 1872, it is a small weatherboarded structure with forward-facing gable roof covered in raised-seam metal. The front porch was removed when the road was widened. The owner, William Kite, resided in an imposing brick house next door.
