Private of Captain Hamilton's company, Regiment of Kentucky Militia under Lewis, pounded in the chest while on duty January 18, 1813, at River Raisin Battle, Michigan. Doctors Thomas J. Trundle and S.G. Menzies certify to his total disability on May 1845 in Boone County, Kentucky.
Boone County Kentucky, April 28, 1834, Willis Calvert makes oath Entered Service August 1812, as private in Captain John Hamilton's company, Kentucky volunteers. Wounded by a rifle on January 18, 1813 at French Town on River Raisin.
3“ Auditors Office of Treasury Department writes June 5, 1834. It appears from the Rolls of Captain John Hamilton's company of Kentucky Militia that Willis Calvert, a private, entered the service August 15, 1812. And is mustered present to February 14, 1813 without any other remark than that of his having been taken prisoner on January 22, 1813. The rolls afford no evidence of his having been wounded while in service.
Kenton County, Kentucky, March 10 1853. Mrs. Rebecca A. Calvert deposes. Age about forty seven. Is a widow of Willis Calvert. She married him on the fourteenth of February 1828. Died on June 15, 1849 in Nashville, Tennessee. For proof of marriage and death of hsuband she refers to papers filed in the land office at Washington, D.C. She received eighty acres of land.
