It was built in the mid-20th Century for an immigrant from Eastern Europe; in a patriotic gesture, he ordered the house plans from the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association, caretakers of the first president’s home.
The house has been adaptively reused and is part of the campus for the Boone County Extension District.
