One of several properties along River Road associated with the prominent McGlasson family, this house was built in the 1920s to replace an earlier dwelling on the site.

The house is noteworthy for its asymmetrical design, which features a large, off-center gabled dormer. The main entrance is contained in an inset, half-width porch at the east corner.

The farm includes a large, diverse group of outbuildings, including a summer kitchen and a farm slaughterhouse. A wrought-iron fence surrounds the yard.
