Located on Gallatin Street in Burlington, the Rice House is a two-story vernacular frame residence with asymmetrical entrance and ridgeline chimney. Pilaster strips mark the corners. It is one of a series of houses that frames the north side of the Courthouse Square, contributing to its sense of place.
The house was included in the Burlington National Register District in 1979.
