Robert Smith Farm (BE 1073)

<html><img alt=“Robert Smith Farm” src=“https://bcp.ent.sirsi.net/client/en_US/search/asset/29661/0” width=“200” align=“right” title=“Robert Smith Farm”></html> Sitting on Ashby Fork Road in neglected condition, yet externally intact, the Robert Smith House represents the center-chimney I-house popular in the county in the second and third quarters of the 19th century. The tall, narrow windows and simple, full-width porch suggest the house was built after the Civil War. Also on the property are a timber-frame barn, concrete tile silo, smokehouse and privy.
